Under the skin of the letting market

Here we share news and views on both the local letting market in & around Oxfordshire and all planned and recent legislation.

High end homes in demand in Central Oxford

We were delighted when our office in Central Oxford experienced a flurry of demand in the same week for some high end houses and flats to rent. Most had been recently listed and included a quirky duplex apartment in St Michael’s Street, next to the auctioneers, Mallams. It is so central that no parking is available and for many applicants this can be a deal breaker. Fortunately we found the perfect tenants, a couple relocating from America who are studying at the Said Business School.

At a different end of the spectrum is a purpose built apartment at the The Lion Brewery whose owners have given it an interior design make over, let to a couple from Brazil. They had been recommended to Finders Keepers by their colleagues who live in a penthouse in the same development in the hope that we might also be able to accommodate them.

Our three Oxford offices worked closely together to let a charming house in St John Street for £3,250 per month to a couple relocating within the UK to lecture at Brookes.

We take pleasure in matching applicants perfectly to properties – the better the ‘match’, the more likely the tenants are to enjoy the property which then ensures that our landlords have “peace of mind” when they leave their homes with for us to manage.
