Under the skin of the letting market

Here we share news and views on both the local letting market in & around Oxfordshire and all planned and recent legislation.

Our North Oxford office wins ‘Office of the Year’

The North Oxford team with the plate

Congratulations to our team based in Summertown for winning Finders Keepers’ Office of the Year!

The award marks the achievements of the team in having the most successful year of all the Finders Keepers offices and business units.

The manager of our Witney office (last year's Office of the Year) hands the plate over

The office is run by Colin Berry who said: “We have built a great team over the past few years and all our training and coaching is now paying off. We are finding high quality applicants quickly, at good rents which is the crux of good letting and our landlords are reaping the benefit.”

The managed portfolio is currently running at over 99.5% occupancy.

Director Frank Webster says the quality of tenant is still the major part of the office’s modus operandi: “Whether it is a 1-bedroom home or a glamorous penthouse apartment, we care deeply about putting the right tenants in the right property. Our landlords trust us to make the right decision for them.”

Once the tenants move in, the Property Management team take over and this is where the North Oxford office has paid particular focus: “Each property has its own dedicated Property Manager who is on-site, not in a call centre. A number of new clients have chosen us out of frustration at their previous agent focussing only on the letting and ignoring the ongoing property management which keeps tenants happy and capital values intact.”

The North Oxford team has also been celebrating a number of industry qualifications. So far 11 people have passed the industry’s main qualification, the ARLA Propertymark Qualified in Residential Letting and Property Management.
