Days out in Oxford for all the family
|Westgate Shopping Centre
Shop until you drop at the newly developed Westgate Shopping Centre. In the heart of it all are top brands from clothing to technology, and restaurants located both on the rooftop and on the ground floor. Other leisurely activities can include watching a film at the Curzon Cinema or enjoying a game of mini golf at the Junkyard Golf Club.
|Kassam Stadium Complex
On a rainy day drive a short distance to the Kassam Stadium, just south of Oxford. There is plenty on offer to keep the kids amused, from ten-pin bowling and interactive racing games to a multi-screen cinema complex.
Gaze at dinosaur fossils and Alice in Wonderland's dodo at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, then investigate the world-famous collection of ethnography and world archaeology at the Pitt Rivers Museum. Enjoy a blast of fresh air afterwards whilst strolling around the adjacent University Parks.
|The Story Museum
The Story Museum, situated in the centre of Oxford, was formed to celebrate children stories and share enjoyable ways for young people to learn through stories as they grow. The museum has ongoing exhibitions, a range of events and talks in several of its renovated rooms.
|Punting and a picnic
Have fun punting from Folly Bridge on the River Thames. Continue the Brideshead Revisited experience with a picnic in Christ Church Meadow and a walk in the College grounds. While you are there, pop your head around the doors of the Great Hall, which doubles as Hogwarts' dining hall in the Harry Potter films.
