Boarstall Tower Built by John de Haudlo in 1312, Boarstall Tower is Buckinghamshire's only complete medieval fortified building. It has retained the medieval belfry, cross loops and crenellations, and its exterior rooms remain virtually unchanged since 1615. |

Shabbington Wood This wildlife refuge contains about 40 species of butterfly. Wild flowers are carefully managed to provide the butterflies with a varied habitat and food sources. Bernwood is also home to Fallow and Muntjac deer and many different fungi. |
