Waddesdon Manor The Waddesdon Estate was purchased by Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1874 and he almost immediately began building on it. The Manor was opened to the public for the first time in 1959 after being bequeathed to the National Trust. |

Thame and Oxfordshire County Show Describing itself as "The Greatest One Day Agricultural Show in the Country", the Oxfordshire and Thame attracts up to 20,000 each year for a celebration of all things rural and animal. There are competitions for sheep and cattle, many dog classes, bands and shopping - lots of it. The Show normally takes place for one day in July. |

Art Weeks During May and June each year, Oxfordshire artists and crafts people open their homes and studios to the public to share their art. There are around 400 stunning exhibitions throughout the county, some in larger public spaces, and entry is free to all of them. |
