Family-Fun Activities for the Easter Weekend 2018
With the long weekend ahead of us, it’s time to think about what activities are available for our families this Easter. Whether there is rain or shine, here are our favourite events coming up.
Event: The Big Easter Bunny Hunt
Location: Water Perry Gardens, Waterperry, Near Wheatley, Oxford, OX33 1JZ
Date: Saturday, 24th March – Sunday, 15th April (10am – 5pm)
Cost: £2 per child and £7.95 per adult. (Each child must be accompanied by an adult.)
Come and join the Big Easter Bunny Hunt located in the stunning Waterperry Gardens. Those who find all of the bunnies will claim a special Easter prize. There is also a children’s play area right opposite of the delicious teashop, perfect for the rest of your day.
Event: Blenheim Palace’s Easter Weekend
Location: Blenheim Palace, Woodstock OX20 1PP
Date: Friday, March 30th 10am – 2nd April (10am – 5pm)
Cost: £14.50 per child (Age 5-16. FREE for under 5s) and £26.00 per adult.
Woodstock’s popular palace will have their Pleasure Gardens transformed into an Easter wonderland for family-friendly activities, interactive experiences and magical shows. You may also join the over-sized Easter Egg Hunt, featuring 8ft giant decorated eggs to find.
Event: GLISTEN
Location: Burton Taylor Studio, Gloucester St, Oxford OX1 2BN
Date: Saturday, March 31st (See website to select your time slots)
Cost: £6 (Adults plus FREE child) and £4 for a second child.
Enjoy an interactive performance for babies aged 0 to 18 months, where you will take a gentle journey exploring the world of reflective materials through soothing music. The theatre will be filled with colour, sound and surprises to create a sensory landscape.
Event: Tea Party Workshop
Location: The Story Museum, Rochester House, 42 Pembroke St, Oxford OX1 1BP
Date: Saturday, March 31st (11am – 1pm)
Cost: £5 per item
This Saturday only, the Story Museum will be celebrating its exhibition, ‘It’s Always Tea Time’. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, your family will listen to storytelling from the Hatter’s Tea Party and get to design your own ceramic plates. Please book your place on the day.
Event: Family Friendly Sundays
Location: Museum of Natural History
Date: Sunday, April 1st (2pm – 4pm)
Cost: FREE
Taking a break from the Easter Bunny chocolates? Why not bring your children to the museum to learn about science? Now is their chance to discover exciting facts about paintings, nature and historical figures – from heroes to monsters.
