Racing start to the summer

Finders Keepers had a spectacular start to May, with 52 properties being let in 7 days. We have seen a surge in the number of family properties available and have also noticed that these are letting fast in the run up to the summer months. June, July and August are usually our busiest time for letting family homes, as applicants prepare to move before the start of the new school year.

Here we look at a selection of properties we let in the first week of May:

North of Oxford, on the outskirts of Brackley, a delightful five bedroom family house located on a working farm was let to a couple who were existing tenants of our Banbury office. When their current landlord decided to sell, they asked us to help find them another property. We were happy to settle them and their two Labradors so quickly into their new home.


Another property to the North was a beautifully presented modern townhouse recently let to a family relocating from America. The family were moving to Oxford for his work at Oxford University and so the ease of access into the city centre was crucial. They loved the picturesque Cotswold village of Woodstock and felt the house was ideal for their needs.


Looking to the south, our Abingdon team let a large detached family house in Drayton. The tenant works in the motorsport industry nearby and needed a property whilst his home was being constructed. He was keen to stay local to his development so that his children could attend the same school. This house is a perfect location for access to the Europa and local schools, as well as the pubs and local shops in the village.3_3

We are still listing new properties, such as this stunning newly renovated 6 bedroom stable conversion on the outskirts of Steventon. Beautifully finished, to a very high standard, with a mixture of contemporary and traditional highlights, it has a high specification kitchen and bright and light bathrooms, a spacious living area – very good for entertaining.5

Another currently available property is this delightfully presented house, sitting on the edge of the picturesque village of Piddington. The 5 bedroom property has been considerably refurbished and has far-reaching views.
