Finders Keepers take tenants to the movies
On Tuesday 12th November we invited our Finders Keepers tenants to join us for an evening of fun at the Ultimate Picture Palace. The Ultimate Picture Palace is Oxford’s oldest, independently run cinema located in the centre of vibrant Cowley. The wonderful art–deco auditorium played host to Finders Keepers free cinema night. In August, we asked our tenants to choose the film. The film chosen was The Breakfast club, winning with 39% of votes.
Our tenants were able to enter the prize draw for tickets by contacting us through our Twitter account or on our Facebook page. The response was overwhelming and we had a fantastic turnout on the night despite the chilly weather. It was a real mix of tenants, from students looking for a social evening away from their studies to families; people who had never heard of The Breakfast Club to those whom the Breakfast Club was an old favourite!
The Breakfast Club is a 1985 American coming of age comedy-drama film starring Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, and Ally Sheedy. The storyline follows five teenagers, each a member of a different high school clique, who spend a Saturday in detention together and come to realise that they are all more than their respective stereotypes.
“This is the second Finders Keepers movies we have done and it is a nice way of giving something a little extra to our tenants. There was no catch – just all part of the Finders Keepers service”. Victoria Lyall, Marketing Executive.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting more of our tenants in a social setting and are looking forward to dreaming up more ideas for the New Year, so watch this space!
