A wise investment in Banbury
Our landlord Norman White converted an old bank into seven luxury apartments, so we asked why he feels that Banbury is a great place to invest.
“I first became involved in the property market 13 years ago when I bought the old Barclays Bank in Horse Fair, Banbury. It was empty as the bank was consolidating their operations into one branch. The building appealed to me due to its central location and the opportunity to offer a secure environment to the tenants.
Being involved in designing the layout from the initial stage was important to me. I was keen for the apartments to be of different sizes and layouts to give an individual feel.
Investing in Banbury gave me the opportunity to acquire this substantial property at a price which gave good projected rental returns. On the advice of Finders Keepers, who have a good overview of the local marketplace, letting, rather than selling, was always the first choice for me.
From the outset, I researched the Banbury letting market and Finders Keepers came out head and shoulders above the rest. They were of great assistance in deciding the final specification for each apartment and their advice was invaluable.
I subsequently converted three more apartments in the development in 2011 and, once again, their advice proved critical in achieving a sustainable development. I always recommend Finders Keepers to friends and have done so recently with a friend who has just renovated a town centre flat.”
