Take part in our Charity Clay Target Shoot
As we’ve mentioned before, Saturday 29th September 2012 will see our second annual charity shoot take place at Edgehill Shooting Ground near Banbury. The event, which was a great success last year, will start from 11am and run throughout the day so you can come along at any time.
It will be a fun, safe and social day out and, quite apart from being able to try out shooting a shotgun for the first time or competing for the FK high gun trophy, you will be raising lots of money for BOB Air Ambulance. Last year we managed to raise over £800 from this one event – let’s aim for even more in 2012!
Friends and family are welcome to come along (whether they are shooting or not) and there will be delicious food available to buy throughout the day, with all profits going to the Air Ambulance Trust.
Spaces are likely to go quickly (about 60% of the ‘Have a Go’ spaces have been filled, and about 40% of the ‘Competition’ spaces have gone) so get in touch now to register! Contact Paul Rushworth firstname.lastname@example.org stating which category you are interested in entering (see below). The cost is £20 per person per category and this includes 25 cartridges and targets as well as safety equipment (if you have your own gun and cartridges the cost is reduced to £15 per round).
The two categories:
Have a go: Better for beginners, you’ll get your first taste of handling a shotgun safely and with coaching provided you’ll soon be hitting the clay target. You may even win the FK ‘Have a go’ trophy!
Competition: Better for those who have shot before and are confident handling a shotgun. Compete for the FK ‘High Gun’ trophy. See how many clays you can hit on our challenging sporting layout.
