Under the skin of the letting market

Here we share news and views on both the local letting market in & around Oxfordshire and all planned and recent legislation.

Finders Keepers – 40 years young

On Friday 18th May we celebrated our 40th birthday.

As we did not want this momentous occasion to pass by un-noticed, we decided to celebrate in true style! You will possibly have already read about the competition which we ran to find Oxfordshire’s best flatmate, but each office also had a lunch time party to celebrate.

Clients, customers and friends were invited to pop into their local office to have a glass of something and a slice of birthday cake. While they were there some jotted down some lovely words of congratulations…

The offices were transformed that Friday afternoon, and it was wonderful to have so many people pop in – even if it was just for 15 minutes on their lunch break. Each office had a beautiful birthday cake made and it is difficult to choose which one was best! Can you decide?

There were stations set up for any last-minute entries to our ‘Best Flatmate’ competition, before it closed at 2pm that afternoon. You can read more about the winners of the amazing prizes (a £2000 holiday and an iPad) HERE. Thank you to everyone who voted and entered the competition – it would not have been such a success without you!

You may also have noticed our ‘To let’ boards which were set up to promote the competition. As a ‘thank you’ to our tenants for allowing us to place these boards at their properties, seven addresses were drawn out of a hat and we are giving each property £100 to donate to a charity of their choice (more info to follow on these charities in another post).

Oh, and if anyone was wondering where the ‘nautical’ theme came from: after the offices closed that day, all of our teams met in Oxford where we got on a boat and floated down the Thames for a bit – our Central Oxford office found an innovative way to travel to Folly Bridge from their Park End Street office…
