It is a Renaissance-style chateau, based on those in the Loire Valley, with gardens by the French designer Elie Lainé . It was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1957. |

| Bicester Jazz Festival Bicester Village was responsible for the inception of the Bicester Jazz Festival, which is now in its sixth year. This well established and free event takes place in the town centre and in Bicester Village over the middle weekend in August. Young musicians are encouraged to take part and there is entertainment for younger children. The event culminates in a wonderful free ’Picnic in the Park’ big band concert, suitable for the whole family, in the beautiful surroundings of Garth Park in Bicester. |
