North Oxford - Area Detail

North Oxford

Wide tree-lined roads, large period houses and excellent apartment blocks. Lovely canal-side developments include 3-bed town houses and detached 5-bed houses. 10-20 minute or a short bus ride to the centre.
The jewel in Oxford's crown with the highest rents.

Summertown

Victorian and Edwardian houses with good shopping area and plentiful parking. Roads become narrower but houses have charm. Various appartment blocks.
Rents are high, but reduce with distance from the centre.

Wolvercote

Borders Port Meadow and the River Thames. Older style properties are attractively modernised. There are good walks and the famous Trout pub.
Countryside living on the edge of Oxford.

Jericho

Narrow "Chelsea" style streets with terraced town cottages, built over 100 years ago. Many have been modernised with basement / roof conversions. A vibrant area with good restaurants and pubs.
Village living close to centre.

Walton Manor

Like Jericho, but properties are slightly larger (three/four bedroom and three storey). Next to Port Meadow, a 350 acre park between the Thames and Oxford Canal. The new Oxford Waterside development has large town and family homes.
New apartments & flats handy for the station.
