Under the skin of the letting market

Here we share news and views on both the local letting market in & around Oxfordshire and all planned and recent legislation.

Calling all landlords

If you are undecided whether to let your property or perhaps venture into the buy-to-let market, then now is the time to decide to go ahead. Summer is traditionally busy and this year seems to be following the trend more than ever. We have already been approached by a large local employer who requires properties for their interns – based in Banbury – for a minimum of one year from July. We were delighted to arrange a presentation for them as for some it is the first time away from home. They are looking for all types of property; some want to live on their own, others wish to share in groups of two or three.

Local schools are also now recruiting new staff for the September term and the influx of enquiries from teachers has already begun. The same is true for parents wanting to be in the catchment area of their chosen school (something they can look at on each property’s page).

We have a great relationship with an American organisation within the area – we are their first point of contact when needing accommodation for relocating personnel. They usually need 4+ bedroom houses in town or villages, which will be available long term and be prepared to accept pets. **

Call Paul or Clare on 01295 276766 for advice, guidance and a free market appraisal of your property.

** Stop Press – we have just been requested to find a 4 bedroom house in a village south of Banbury for a senior relocating family. Budget approximately £2000 pcm **
