Under the skin of the letting market

Here we share news and views on both the local letting market in & around Oxfordshire and all planned and recent legislation.

Tortoise in Love – a local film

As we mentioned in a previous post, the village of Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor has recently finished making a full-length Hollywood-style feature film. Tortoise in Love is a romantic comedy about a gardener who falls in love, but is a bit of a slow-mover, and the village who try to accelerate the relationship! The locations, the organisation, most of the finance and many of the parts supplied were by members of the community – their story could make a film in itself!

Here is a screen shot of part of the film:

In this shot, Brendan (played by Steven Elder) has been taking part in the Pantomime Horse Grand National but has lost his way somewhat… Have a look on the film’s website for more information and to see more photos.

The more people that say they are interested in seeing Tortoise in Love, the better chance of getting a distributor and giving Hollywood blockbusters a run for their money – so support this British (local!) film!
