You never know what to expect of the day ahead when you come to work in the morning. Recently one of our Property Managers in North Oxford was returning to his car, having finished an appointment, when he noticed an elderly lady had fallen through a broken manhole cover.

He stayed with her, kept her calm (although she had broken her leg), called an ambulance and contacted her family. The lady’s daughter was very grateful and our property manager even received a bottle of wine from the residents’ association.

Unusual situations are not uncommon when your work takes you out and about. Another member of our management team recently ended up stuck in a lift with a landlord and one of his contractors whilst on their way to inspect some work. Fortunately, there was a burly decorator in the building who was able to pry the doors open and free them (after 20 minutes of being trapped)!

Such events always make for interesting stories. Who knows what is in store for us in the weeks to come…
