Central Oxford - Area Detail
Central Oxford
Most property is owned by the University and not available to rent. The High, Cornmarket and Queen Street are chief shopping areas, together with The Westgate (at the end of Queen Street) and the Clarendon Centre (off Cornmarket). We let and manage several apartment blocks close to the city centre plus some 4-bed, 3-bath town houses. High rents but incredible location.
Osney
Another popular area, smaller but similar to Jericho except that it is an island. 2 minute walk to the railway station. Comparatively high rents.
Grandpont (South Oxford)
Narrow streets of terraced turn-of-the-century houses going south from Folly Bridge. Everywhere is either within walking distance or a short bus ride of the centre. Popular with visiting academics, sharers and small families. Excellent nursery and primary school.
Botley Road
Botley Road is noisy with a mix of Edwardian and 1930's houses. However, the side roads are quieter with charming, good value Victorian terraced houses. Park & Ride is available just off A34.
