Are you looking for your next investment property? We can help.

When investing in property there are a number of factors to consider, including location, property condition and demand levels. An existing client from our Abingdon office was looking to add to their property portfolio and contacted our Office Manager, Helen Reeves, for advice on where to invest. After a conversation to discuss budgets and investment goals Helen proposed Didcot as a town for review as it is a rapidly developing area of Oxfordshire with great local amenities as well as excellent links to Oxford and London.

The client came back to us after finding a potential investment property on a new-build site just outside of Didcot’s town centre: a three bedroom, semi-detached house with garden, parking, EV charging point and solar panels. Helen proposed viewing the property on behalf of the client in order to be able to give the best advice. She says, “I wanted to be able to give our landlord well-informed advice on their potential investment. After viewing the house, I felt confident that it would make a great rental property. New-build properties have good tenant appeal, are low maintenance, come with a warranty, and always have great EPC ratings, which would make them compliant with impending MEES Regulations.”

When the property was ready for the rental market, the client used Interiors (our furnishing division) to add light fittings and window dressings before our letting team started marketing the property. Within a matter of days there had been multiple viewings before the property let to a lovely family who moved in a few weeks later. The landlord was delighted.

Whether you’re buying your first rental property or expanding your current portfolio, we can guide you through the process and offer advice on potential investments. As local letting specialists we can help you to make the informed decisions that matter.
